Eberk Dourstone

This is my first attempt at a character, I used point buy 22 as suggested in the PHB. If you use this method it works differently than in 3e. Based on what I've read so far I'm leaning heavily towards playing a Cleric with a progression of Battle Cleric for the Paragon Path.

Let me know what you think.

Eberk Dourstone - Dwarven Cleric

Str 15 +2
Con 17 +3
Dex 10
Int 10
Wis 15 +2
Cha 13 +1

Hit points: 29
AC: 16
Fort: 13
Ref: 10
Will: 14

Skills: Arcana 5, Diplomacy 6, Dungeoneering 4, Endurance 4, Heal 2, Insight 7, Nature 2, Perception 2, Religion 5

Feats: Dwarven Weapon Training

At Will Powers: Priest's Shield, Righteous Brand
Encounter Powers: Healing Strike
Daily Powers: Avenging Flame
Rituals Known: Gentle Repose, Comprehend Lang

Attack: Greataxe +4, 1d12+5 dmg, high crit weapon

Very nice. I was reading the PHB last night and I think the 22 point buy is where we'll go just to give you guys a bit of flexibility.

Dourstone eh? Do I sense a relation here? Looking forward to the backstory.

Hehe... that was actually completly unintentional. I was looking for a last name and it popped into my head. I remember thinking, where have I heard that name before? Maybe I'll run with it.

I'm fairly certain that what I've posted will be the basis for the character I do eventually play. I may make a few tweaks here and there and will certainly be toying around with other classes etc.

29 hitpoints seems high.

I think if you are going to play a cleric I'm going to chose the Tactical Warlord route.

Inspiring Warlords heal a lot, where as Tactical ones are more combat oriented.

Making characters is a lot faster now.

Did you guys notice there are only 4 potions listed?

Looks great to me. Great Axe weilding dwarfen cleric sure fits the adventurer mold. I like him already

I just read the hit point thing.

You add your constitution score! Not just the modifier.

Decent.

ya you actually don't add the modifier at all. Just the score. This is the character I will be playing with a few tweaks here and there. I'll be running the final version by Jay and then I'll post it.

My backstory is also coming along. Overall, I'm really liking this new edition. Very simple to put it all together, but there is still some depth.

My only complaint so far is I don't really like the character sheet. The area for the attacks & damage, as well as listing the powers. I'm already working on an excel sheet, I'll share that when I'm done with it.

Wow. I misread the hitpoint thing as well! Nice!

Makes more sense know for the classes that don't add the Con modifier to HP as each level.
